Chris Viock Sr.

Chris Viock Sr., 60, of Monroeville, OH, passed away unexpectedly on December 27, 2023.

He was born on October 6, 1963, in Norwalk, OH, to the late Robert and Esther (Brown) Viock. Chris attended Willard High School and served in the Army Reserve.

Chris was the backbone of R&L Transportation for over 39 years. He worked all the way up the ladder to become their Regional Manager. His family says that he bled green for R&L and loved his job there very much.

Chris was first and foremost a family man. He loved spending time with his family and sharing laughs, even to the point where he laughed so hard that he could break a table. Chris was a generous man and an animal lover, especially his dogs, Rowan and Max. He enjoyed driving and working on anything that had an engine.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Viock and Esther (Brown) Viock; his siblings Harold Conrad, Pete Viock, and Lyle Viock.

Chris is survived by his wife of 17 years, Stephanie Viock; his children, Chris Viock Jr., Dalton Vick, Blake Vick, and Telor Ringer; his siblings, Carol Hoffman, Marcella Gortner, Bill Viock, Edna Villareal, Grace Reed, and Kevin Viock. Chris is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, from 3 to 6pm at Walker- Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main St. A funeral service will follow immediately after the visitation period at 6 p.m. A celebration of life is also being planned for a later date.
