Stuart C. Schillig, 71, of North Canton, OH, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Summa Health Systems, in Akron, OH.
He was born on March 28, 1952, in Norwalk, OH, to the late Martha Jean (Hickle) and Dr. Robert Stuart Schillig.
After a lifetime of working in the Business Forms Industry, he enjoyed retirement life and traveling with his family. Stuart enjoyed golfing, swimming, and watching sporting events. Most of all, he loved the time spent with his wife, kids, and granddaughters. His positive outlook on life helped pave the way for his children's dreams and endeavors, and his constant reminder to, "Just have fun with it," will never be forgotten.
Stuart is survived by his wife, Colleen (Smith) Schillig who he married August 4, 1984; 3 children, Brittany (Matthew) Hayes of Uniontown, OH, Brandon (Angela Klebe) Schillig of North Canton, OH and Breeann (Austin) Phillips of Massillon, OH; grandchildren, Tatum and Myla Hayes; siblings, Stephan (Sandra) Schillig of Powell, OH, Stephanie Hildebrand of Norwalk, OH, Sharon (James) Schoenegge of Milan, OH, and Scott (Polly) Schillig of Dublin, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother in-law, Ken Hildebrand.
Family and friends of Stuart are respectfully invited to call on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 10:30 AM -12:30 PM at the Walker Eastman Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk. We will proceed to St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church, 38 S. League Street, Norwalk, for a funeral mass beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made St. Jude's, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or masses at either Little Flower Catholic Parish, 2040 Diamond St., NE, Canton, 44721 or St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church, 38 S.
