Neal W. Payton, 48, Sandusky, passed away on Saturday evening, June 23, 2012, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born on August 4, 1963, in Sandusky.
Neal enjoyed watching sports and fishing. He enjoyed going to casinos and gambling, and also spending time with his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his special friends, April Brant and Bella; daughters, Pam Edwards, Cleveland, OH, and Ashley, Sandusky; son, Neal, Tiffin; granddaughters, Jamihya Johnson and Cassaria Edwards; brothers, Curtis (Johnny Pearl) Payton, Erdis Payton, Frankie Payton, Jerry Payton, and Jeffery Payton, all of Sandusky; sisters, Terry Payton, Sandusky, Tonya (Mike) McGee and Bobbie Neil Darby; special nephew, Pierce Coleman; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Thelma M. (Owens) Payton; brothers, Jessie Payton, Jr., and James Booth; sisters, Ruth "Mookie" Harvey, and Jennifer Duckworth.
Friends may call on Friday, June 29, 2012, from 9 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11 A.M. in New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1920 Eddie Henry Way, Sandusky. Rev. Curtis L. Johnson, Jr., will officiate. Burial will follow in Perkins Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Society, or to Firelands Dialysis Center. The family would like to give a special thank you to Heritage Health Care and Firelands Dialysis Center.
