Christine L. Rucker, age 92, of Norwalk, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012 at Norwalk Memorial Home.
She was born May 4, 1920 in Humphrey County, Tennessee to the late Dee Wells and Myrtle Christine (Reagons) Wells.
She is survived by her son, Lamar (Jackie) Rucker of Oakland Township, Mich. and a special niece, Harriett Wells McCoy of Indianapolis, IN and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Rucker in 1968; and brothers, Johnny Wells Sr. and Dee Wells Jr.
Christine moved to Norwalk in 1954, and worked at Westinghouse until her retirement. She also worked for Easter Seals for numerous years, and was a member of Norwalk Community CME Church.
There will be no visitation. A Graveside service will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 6, 2012 at Woodlawn Cemetery, 200 Woodlawn Avenue, Norwalk. The Rev. John Mawhirter will officiate.
