George E. Ours, 78, of Castalia, died Thursday afternoon, October 14, 2010, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, following a lengthy illness.
He was born May 2, 1932 in Lancaster, OH. He worked for Ohio Edison for many years and loved to go fishing with his family. He was a member of the Castalia Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife Helen (Peters) Ours; five daughters Rose (Randy) Manuella; Sue Ours and Jeff Cody; Dianna (Robert) Frausto; Kathleen Mayse; and Tina (Chris) O'Hara; all of Sandusky; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
George was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Cecelia (Paullous) Ours; daughter Marjorie Ours, January 1, 1910; two brothers Robert and Carl; and sister Mary.
Friends may call from 3:30 - 7:30 PM Sunday at Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St. Castalia. Private family services will be held on Monday at Ransom Funeral Home. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
