Edith Hale Quaintance, 99, Sandusky, died on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at her residence.
She was born on July 28, 1912 in Kentucky.
Edith worked for Cozy Inn Restaurant in Galion, OH.
She loved gardening, putting up food, and spending time with all of her family.
She is survived by her children, Wilma Birmelin, Sandusky, Allen Hale, and James Hale, both of Crestline, OH, Julia Arnett, and Buck E. Hale, both of Michigan; twenty-four grandchildren; several great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Sage Howard, Plymouth, OH, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buck Hale in 1955; parents, Russell and Elizabeth (Bradley) Howard; daughter, Pauline Flannery; brothers, Curtis Hale and Elmer Hale; fourteen brothers and sisters.
A private family visitation and service will be held in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Ken Hiser will officiate.
