Curtis D. Miller, age 82, of Sandusky, died Monday night, July 23, 2012, in the Lutheran Memorial Home, Sandusky.

He was born March 11, 1930, in Sandusky. He was a dairy farmer and was a member of the Young Co-Op Farmers, Milk Producers Assoc., Holstein Assoc., and the Senior Center. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sandusky, where he played on Venice #2 Dartball team, and taught Sunday School. He was also a 4-H Club advisor, and a 16 gallon blood donor. Curt loved to play cards, checkers, and scrapbooking.

He loved his Savior, and his faith and strength from God, helped him persevere. He also loved helping others, and being with his family and friends.

Curt is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy Gysan, to whom he was married for 60 years; 2 sons Rev. Timothy (Barbara) Miller of Ryan, IA, and Stan (Sheree') Miller of Sandusky; 2 daughters Brenda (Jack) Ried of Castalia, and Debbie (Jay) Cordoba of Albany, GA; 10 grandchildren Jason (Shonna) Miller, Mike (Karli) Ried, Andy (Sage) Miller, Matt(Kelly) Ried, Shelly (Steve) Hall, Ashley Miller, Letha Miller, and Jacob, Zach, and Nick Cordoba; 9 great grandchildren; one brother Dr. David (Sheila) Miller; one sister Virginia (John) Lutes; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Bernice Miller, sister Rachel Miller, and brother Charles Miller.

Friends may call from 4-8 pm Thursday, July 26, 2012, in the Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, and from 9:30 am Friday, July 27, 2012, until time of services at 10:30 am in Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Bardshar Rd., Sandusky. The Rev. Philip Gardner will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
