Sarah Susanna Lierenz, age 90, of Norwalk, passed away Friday evening, July 27, 2012 at Norwalk Memorial Home.
She was born March 8, 1922 in Cleveland, OH to the late Michael and Katharina (Fritsch) Gross. She was a bookkeeper for many years and was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. She was a Brownie Leader and enjoyed sewing in her earlier years, ceramics and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary L. Farrell of Monroe, Michigan and Ann A. (Robert) Corley of Buchannon, WV; grandchildren, Lisa (Steve) Liparoto of Midland, MI, Susie (Randy) Null of Oberlin, Amy Knott of Norwalk and Stephanie (Ryan) Valdiviez of Monroe, MI and 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, George E. Lierenz in 2007; and a son-in-law, Martin Farrell in 2010; siblings, Ann Gross, Michael Gross, Katherine Kluender and Elsie Gross.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
