Kevin P. Cummings, age 47, of Castalia, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, in Toledo Hospital, Toledo.
He was born Oct. 29, 1964, in Sandusky, and was a 1983 graduate of Perkins High School. He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Journalism. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran, and was special education teacher at Springfield High School in Holland, OH. He was also employed by the Ford Motor Co., in Milan, MI, and was a member of UAW Local 600.
He is survived by one daughter Keely Cummings of Toledo; one son Aidan Cummings of Toledo; his father and step-mother James and Sandy Cummings of Castalia; 3 brothers James Cummings of Powell, OH, Bryan (Sharon) Cummings of Worthington, OH, and Joel Cummings of Sandusky; step-sister Amanda Parker; step-brother Brian Parker of Salyersville, KY; special friend Kris Gordon of Pickerington, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Karen Cummings in 2009, and his grandparents.
Friends may call from 4-8 pm Friday, August 3, 2012, in the Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where memorial services will be held at 11 am Sat., August 4, 2012. Cremation will follow.
