Kathryn E. Camp, 72, of Monroeville died Saturday afternoon, August 11, 2012 in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky following a brief illness.
She was born October 18, 1939 in Medina, Ohio and found her way to Monroeville, where she lived most of her life. Kathryn worked at the former Morrows Grocery Store in Monroeville, where she met her husband, Harold Camp. They were married soon after.
Kathryn was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroeville, where she was active with the Altar & Rosary Society. She also worked and played bingo for many years, played in a card club with friends, and became an excellent seamstress. Her hobbies included making countless quilts, knitting, crocheting, and also gardening and canning.
She is survived by three daughters: Diane Masri and Joyce Camp, both of Houston, Texas, Elizabeth (Daniel) Kish of Oregon, Ohio, two sons: Mike (Mihwa) Camp of Bakersfield, CA., Joe (Tammy) Camp of Norwalk, nine grandchildren, three sisters and one brother, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Harold "Satch" Camp in 2004, her parents: Ralph & Virginia (Baird) Sprankle, one sister and one brother.
Friends may call Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville. The Rev. William Pifher will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroeville.
