Aurelia M. Dienes, 91, Sandusky, passed away on Tuesday evening, September 4, 2012, in Providence Care Center.
She was born on May 7, 1921 in Fremont, Ohio to the late Charles F. and Sarah O. (Hollowell) Bliss.
She was employed by Philco, Dr. Leake at the Women's Clinic, and Demma's Restaurant.
Aurelia was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. She was past President of the AMVETS Post 17 Auxillary from 1947 to 1950, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, and loved puzzles and crafts.
Aurelia is survived by her children, Anna Spadaro, Sandusky, Linda (Richard) Heidl, Sandusky, Michael L. (Victoria) Dienes, Green, S.C., Sarah (Eric) Smith, Vickery, and Rebecca (Robert) Pesina, Sandusky; fifteen grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn (Sam) Frank, Huron and Kaye Bower, Toledo; brother, Perry (Marilyn) Bliss, Fremont; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Dienes, in 1998; parents; sisters, Eileen Mehlow and Janet Kiesel; brothers, LeRoy Bliss and Darwin Bliss; great-granddaughter, Amanda Thumbull; and son-in-law, Joseph Spadaro.
Friends may call on Friday, September 7, 2012 from 6-9 P.M. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Prayer services will be held on Saturday at 9:30 A.M. in the funeral home, followed by a 10 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 1605 W. Jefferson St., Sandusky. Rev. Eric Mueller will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
