Reginald Lee "Reggie" Alexander

Reginald Lee "Reggie" Alexander, 55, Sandusky, was called from labor to rest on Sunday, September 5, 2010, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, unexpectedly.

He was born December 25, 1954 in Sandusky, to the late Shields and Birdeen (Clark) Alexander. Reggie was a 1973 graduate of Perkins High School and attended the Ehove Career Center. He also was a graduate of the Twelve Step AA Intervention Program in which he was very active as a motivational speaker. Reggie enjoyed watching movies highlighted by the 1970's & 80's. Battling through his medical condition he was still determined to be available and provide aide, support and encouragement to those in need. Reggie was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He was formerly employed by Glidden Company (ICI Paints), American Crayon, G & C Foundry, Universal Clay, Arthur Corporation, Ferrell Cheek Steel Co., and Lewco Co.

Reggie leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife, Tracy (Pou) Alexander; daughters, Reggie Saniya Alexander, Shandreika Johnson, Alexis Lee Alexander, Odessa Birdeen Alexander, all of Sandusky; stepson, Austin Earl, Sandusky; granddaughter, Alaiya Rae Braggs; special niece, Dapreshion Grant; uncles, Elmer Clark, Fredrick (Mevelyn) Alexander, and Louis Alexander; aunts, Nora Clark and Marjorie Green; mother-in-law, Shirley Pou; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents.

Friends may call on Friday, September 10, 2010 from 6-9 P.M. in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12 P.M. (Noon) in the church. Rev. Clayton E. Howard will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Memorial contribution s may be made to the Twelve Step AA Intervention Program, to Ebenezer Baptist Church, or to the American Cancer Society.
