Edith Knupke Sargeant, age 92, formerly of Monroeville, died Monday at her residence in Theodore, AL.
She was born March 2, 1918 in Huron, OH, and was a retired homemaker. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Mobile, AL.
She is survived by 2 daughters Alice (Joseph) Avirett of Mobile, AL; and Jane (Terry) Ryan of Tyler, TX; 2 sons John (Peggy) Sargeant of IL, and Paul Sargeant of Sandusky; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; one brother Wayne (Ruth) Knupke of Huron; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Glenn Sargeant in 1981; parents; and two brothers Gene and Elmer Knupke.
There will no visitation. Services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday in the chapel of Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. The Rev. John Mawhirter will officiate.
