Charles S. Bloomfield, 66, of Sandusky, died Tuesday morning, October 2, 2012 in the Lutheran Memorial Home, Sandusky following a lengthy illness.

He was born May 5, 1946 in West Virginia and was a 30 year employee of the Ford Motor Company, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Amvets Post 17, and the American Legion Post 83. He loved riding his Harley with his friends and family, because as he said, "No One Rides Alone."

He is survived by four daughters: Lisa (Terry) Sharp of Mount Washington, Kentucky, Lori (Dennis) Davidson of Bellevue, Lea Ann Bursley and Mardelle (Mark) Hamernik, both of Sandusky, one son: William (Shanan) Fisher of Huron, 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, one brother: Jim (Dianna) Bloomfield of Republic, three sisters: Tina (Thomas Bickley) Bloomfield of New London, Nancy (John) Lacy of Sandusky and Molly (Ed) Rosin of Bellevue.

He was preceded in death by his first wife: Geraldine Bloomfield in 1982, his second wife: Mary Kathy Bloomfield in 2006, his parents: Rulley & Ruth (Cox) Bloomfield and one grandson: Terry A. Sharp, Jr. in 2001.

Friends may call Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM, and from 10:00 AM Friday, October 5, 2012 until time of service at 11:00 AM in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. The Rev. Harold White will officiate. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery.
