Thelma M. Turner, 82, of Sandusky, passed away on Tuesday evening, October 2, 2012, in the ManorCare Nursing Facility, Westerville, Ohio, where she was a resident for the last 2 ½ years.
Thelma was born on September 6, 1930 in Monroe, Michigan.
She was a homemaker and loved to play the piano.
Thelma is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Rita Turner, of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Brian and Jaclyn; sister, Shirley (Richard) Nation, of Monroe, MI; brothers, Kyle (Lee) Evans, Jr. and Roger Evans, both of Monroe, MI; and sister-in-law, Rita Evans, of Monroe, MI.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Hoyle J. Turner, in 2005; parents, Kyle and Pauline (Nagy) Evans, Sr.; brothers, Jim Evans and Tom Evans; and sister-in-law, Ina Evans.
Friends may call on Friday, October 5, 2012, from 6-8 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 A.M. in the funeral home with the Rev. Doug Lang officiating. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
