L. Elizabeth Zinser Birr, age 89, of Bellevue passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012 at the Willows at Bellevue.
She was born Dec. 27, 1922 in Enid, OK the daughter of the late Arthur & Lucile (Williams) Zinser.
Elizabeth was secretary & telegrapher for the US Air Force and a homemaker. She married her husband, Robert Birr, Aug. 4, 1946, in Enid, Ok, and he survives in Bellevue. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Bellevue; Lyme Historic Society; Town & Country Theater; loved music and was an accomplished violin and viola player; enjoyed quilting.
Survivors include her husband Robert, son; James E. Birr of Florissant, MO, daughter; Janice E. Maguire of Florissant, MO, 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild, and her brother Benjamin Zinser of Long Beach, CA.
Friends will be received Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue from 4-7PM. Private funeral services will be at St. John's Lutheran Church, 231 Southwest St., Bellevue, OH 44811. Burial will be at Bellevue Cemetery, Bellevue.
