Rodney D. Scott

Rodney D. Scott, 66, Norwalk, and formerly of Sandusky, ended his journey on this earth, Thursday, November 1, 2012 in Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center, after a brief illness.

He was born on September 8, 1946 in Logan, West Virginia.

Rodney graduated from Margaretta High School in 1964 and served in the National Guard.

He was employed by J& J Snack Foods of Pennsauken, NJ, as a regional sales manager.

Rodney was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Norwalk, the Norwalk Elks, and the Bronson Conservation Club. He was a past member of the I.A.B. Club, Sandusky, the Sandusky Yacht Club, and the Sandusky Sailing Club.

He enjoyed spending time on the lake with family and friends, sailing, jet skiing, fishing, and most of all, spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Geiger) Scott, whom he married on January 8, 1971; his mother, June (Mullins) Scott, Vickery, OH; daughter, Jennifer (Philip) Lopez, and their children, Paul & Nikki of Macedonia, OH; sons, Rodney (Dayna) Scott, and their children, Austin, Morgan, Garrett and Sierra of Milan, OH, and Jeremy (Jennifer) Scott, and their children, Hillary and Andrew of Delaware, OH; sisters, Brenda (Edward) Ruthsatz, Castalia, and Diane (William) Stauder, Huron; brothers, Louis Scott, Berlin Heights, and Terry (Debbie) Scott, Castalia; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Scott.

Friends may call on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 from 3- 8 P.M. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. On Wednesday his body will lie in state from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 11 AM in the First Presbyterian Church, 21 Firelands Blvd., Norwalk. Rev. Adrian Doll will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Berlin Heights, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society Joseph S. and Jeannette M.
