Carl F. "Bud" Falter, 70, of Bellevue passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky. He was born August 8, 1942 in Fremont, the son of Carl A. and Mary Frances (Laurer) Falter.
Carl was employed by Ford Motor Company in Sandusky until his retirement in 2001. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Bellevue, where he formerly served as a Eucharistic Minister; he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and Eagles Aerie 490. He enjoyed spending time with his family and following his grandchildren's activities.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Englund) Falter, whom he married May 11, 1963 in Immaculate Conception Church, Bellevue. Two sons, Carl "Buddy", Jr. of Bellevue, Steve (Robin) of Murfreesboro, TN; One daughter, Carla (Matt) Schweinfurth of Sandusky; 7 grandchildren: Katie, Matthew, Megan, Sam, Madison, Stephen, and Morgan; Two brothers, Kenneth Falter and David (Brenda) Falter of Bellevue; and Two sisters, Mary (Ron) Gates of Bellevue, and Carol (Bob) Reynolds of Monroeville.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received on Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 2-8 p.m. at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue where the Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 East Center Street, Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
