John P. Wolf, Jr. 88, Sandusky, died on Saturday, November 10, 2012, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, after a brief illness.
He was born on December 30, 1923 in Sandusky, and was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving during WWII.
John retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Sandusky, after 42 years.
He is survived by his sons, Craig (Michelle) Wolf, Petersburg, MI, and Robby (Karen) Wolf, Sandusky; daughters, Jackie Handy, Huron, Geraldine Lantz, Spring Hill, TN, Loralen (Gary) Himes, Bremerton, WA, and June (Terry) Bechstein, Huron; brother, Robert (Jean) Wolf, Sandusky; fifteen grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine (Stookey) Wolf in 2007; parents, John and Amelia (Hiendorf) Wolf, Sr.; and sons, John Wolf, III, in 2009, and Jeffrey Wolf, in infancy.
Friends may call on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. in the Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Marine Corps Forever Honor and Color Guard will conduct military services at 7 P.M., followed by prayers at 7:30 P.M. with Deacon Jeff Claar. Condolences may be shared at www.toftfh.com.
