Edward J. Fleming

Edward J. Fleming, 74, of Bellevue passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012 in LeConte Medical Center, Sevierville, TN, while on vacation, surrounded by his family He was born January 26, 1938 in Vickery, Ohio the son of John and Mary (Swartz) Fleming.

He was employed for 33 years with the Ohio Turnpike and helped out at Bellevue Ace Hardware. He was the former owner of Flemings Lawn Mower Service. He was a former auxiliary policeman for Bellevue and farmed with his father.

Ed was a member of Bellevue Alliance Church, Eagles Aerie 490, Bellevue Moose and VFW. He enjoyed camping, woodworking, fishing, playing cards and also his player piano. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, cooking turkeys on the 4th of July, and will be remembered for his well-known and unique laugh.
Ed is survived by his wife, Clara (Koch), of Bellevue whom he married November 7, 1959 in Lyme Church. Son, Darin (Leslie) Fleming of Bellevue, a daughter; Cheryl (Adam) Wynbissinger of Bellevue; and grandchildren; Andrew (Allison) Wynbissinger, Luke (Farrah) Wynbissinger and Caleb (Allie) Wynbissinger, Sid and Sammie Fleming; two sisters, Jane (Don) Jackson of New London and Barb (Don) Tusing of Clyde and his sister- in- law Bertie Lou Fleming of Vickery.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Richard Fleming.

Friends will be received on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 3-8 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A funeral service officiated by Dan Higgins will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bellevue Alliance Church, 1001 Monroe Street, Bellevue. Burial will follow at York Chapel Cemetery.
