Dorothy Marie (Wise) Vitello Stallkamp, 93, of Norwalk, died early Saturday morning, October 30, 2010 in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky surrounded by her family.
She was born June 1, 1917 in Norwalk. Dorothy was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroeville and the Golden Eagles of Monroeville. She was a lifetime member of the Eagles and the American Legion. She was employed by Durable Mat and served at the Eagles for many years. Dorothy enjoyed playing cards, especially Cribbage, bingo and bowling.
She is survived by her children: Keith & Pat Vitello of Norwalk, Richard & Carol Vitello of West Salem, Phyllis & Bill Ames of Homosassa, FL., stepchildren: Edward "Chuck" & Nancy Stallkamp of Sandusky, Nancy & John Alt of Norwalk, Josephine & Bob Dendinger and Ruth & Mel Masson, both of Bellevue, Margaret & Clayton Wright of Naples, FL., and Mary & Dannie Ellis of East Palestine, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren, 19 step grandchildren and 24 step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband: Frank Vitello in 1951, her second husband: Edward Stallkamp in 1996, two sons: Thomas & Bruce Vitello, her parents: Joseph & Julia (Hipp) Wise, siblings: Walter Wise, Lucile Blystone and her twin sister who died at birth, one step grandson and two great great grandsons.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville. The Rev. William Pifher will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroeville.
