Edna Baker, 98, of Sandusky, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, after a brief illness.
She was born 1914 in Talladega, AL, to the late Jerry and Ella (Hatten) Terrell. Edna attended school in Alabama and moved to Sandusky in 1952.
She worked at various nursing homes here in Sandusky before retiring.
Edna became a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses congregation, where she remained faithful until her death.
She is survived by her only child, Hattie Nuby, Sandusky; grandchildren, Michael, Mark, Orlando, and Sonja Nuby, all of Sandusky; 20 great-grandchildren; a special great-great-granddaughter, Brailynn Wood, thirteen other great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earnest Baker; 10 siblings; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 1 P.M. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 608 King St., Sandusky.
Memorial contributions in Edna's memory may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
