Odilia A. Myers, 95, passed away on November 30, 2012.
She was married for 63 years to Wilfred A. Myers (deceased). They had five children; Dr. Jane Suresky, Cleveland, OH; Susan York, Rochester, MN; William (Amy) Myers, Medina, OH; Frances Holm, Huron, OH and Rita (Glen) Weiringa, Santa Fe, NM. She had seven grandchildren, Aaron Holm, Derek and Ray York, Livia Weiringa, Emily Mangham, Elizabeth Wallace, James Myers, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was born and raised in Putnam County, Ohio and grew to be a very resilient and resourceful woman who was proud of her German heritage and her Catholic faith. Baking, gardening, quilt making, needlepoint, wallpapering, walking and volunteering were activities that provided her with much enjoyment in life outside of her family. She was active in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroeville, Ohio; Fisher-Titus Auxiliary in Norwalk, Ohio; The Huron County Historical Association and was always ready to assist anyone in need in her church, family, community and neighborhood. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Joseph Catholic School, Monroeville, Ohio.
Friends may call on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main St., Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville, Ohio. Rev. William Pifher will officiate. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroeville, Ohio.
