Agnes M. Finch

Agnes M. Finch, 91, of Norwalk, Ohio, died early Sunday morning, November 11, 2012, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio.

Agnes was born December 23, 1920 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Louis and Marie (Meyer) Strimpfel and was a lifelong area resident. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Catholic Church and was a 1938 graduate of St. Paul High School. Agnes enjoyed politics ,was active in Huron County Republican Party, and served two terms on the Huron County Board of Elections. She especially enjoyed watching sports and was an avid supporter of our Ohio sports teams. Agnes also enjoyed working in her yard and flower beds.

She is survived by her children, Meg (James) White of Willard, Ohio, Tim Finch and his fiance, Carol Emmons, Alice Martin of Huron, Ohio and Jack (Joyce) Finch of Norwalk, Ohio. Agnes is also survived by her grandchildren,Jim and Deb White, Bill and Melody McClanahan, Josh White, Kelsey Finch, Tark and Amy Martin, Shayla Martin, Adam Finch, and Christian and Amy Raymond, by 10 great grandchildren who adored her and called her "Gramma Great", by her special niece, Mrs. Sharon (Dan) Rood and her family, by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends and neighbors.

Agnes was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, the former Norwalk Mayor from 1965-1971, Harold "Heinie" Finch in 1984, by her daughter, Annette Finch,by her sisters, Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) Higgins and Mrs. Marian Weisenberger.

There will be no calling hours. Mass of Christian Burial will beheld Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church,91 East Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Msgr. Kenneth Mormon will officiate. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville, Ohio.
