Lawrence A. Myers, 90, Sandusky, died on Friday, November 19, 2010 in Stein Hospice Care Center.
He was born on April 15, 1920 in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. He retired from Sandusky Dressed Beef after many years. He was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church where he served as a trustee and sang in the choir.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Virginia Myers, Sandusky; daughters, Oralee (Hertis) Davis, Clinton, IA, Sadie Hill, Columbus, OH, Isadore (Dennis) Cunningham and Ann Myers (special partner, Jeffrey Moore), both of Sandusky; sons, Andre (Sue) Myers, Dale, TX, and Anthony Myers (special partner, Sheria Monegan), Sandusky; stepdaughter, Debra Meadows, Sandusky; stepsons, Eddie Newell, Sandusky, and Terrence Newell, CA; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Mae Myers; his parents, Jeff and Isadore (Henry) Myers; sister, Narleatha Berry; brothers, George Berry and J.C. Berry; son, Lawrence Peter Myers; and nephews, Otis Allen Berry and Joshua C. Berry, Jr.
Friends may call on Friday, November 26, 2010 from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at 1 P.M. in New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1920 Shelby St., Sandusky. Rev. Curtis Johnson Jr. will officiate.
