Jerry N. Woodard age 67 of Norwalk passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
He was born January 4, 1945 in Vernon, TX the son of the late O'Neal & M. Ruth Woodard.
Jerry worked for GE at the Bellevue Lamp Plant until its closing and then retired from Ball Plastics, Bellevue in 2007.
He married his wife Nancy (Williams) Woodard May 4, 1974 in Bellevue. She survives in Norwalk.
Jerry was a member of Eagles, Aerie 490, VFW Post 1238 and various other clubs through his life. He enjoyed going to casinos and woodworking. He loved social gatherings and being around people. Jerry was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children; Kevin (Donna) Sears of Fountain Inn, SC, Connie (Kit) Nelson of Bellevue, Martin (Jody) Woodard of Bellevue, Jay Woodard of Las Vegas, NV, Tory (Jackie) Woodard of Bellevue; 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and his sister Lynda Folsom of Stamford, CT.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter; Marcy, son; Stephen, grandson; Tristan "TJ" Woodard.
Friends will be received Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 from 3:00 pm until the funeral service begins at 8:30 pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. Private burial will take place at Sandhill Cemetery.
