James A. Ring, age 58, of Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, November 25, 2010, at his residence.
He was born August 19, 1952 in Dante Virginia, son of the late Arnold and Melba (McClellan) Ring. He was a member of Sandhill Freewill Baptist Church and was in the U.S. Marine Corps. Jim spent his last day doing what he loved, helping his son with his race car and keeping the fire going.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years Bessie (Woods) Ring, Sandusky; son James (Kimberly) Ring, Sandusky; daughter Anna (Jeffery) Damante, Milan; two grandsons Tyler and Anthony Damante; four granddaughters Tori Damante, Brooke Ring, Lauren Ring, and Jenna Damante; four sisters Shelva (Eddie) Mullins, Dungannon, Va, Sherry Blissit, Sandusky, Sharon (Daniel) Akers and Elizabeth Griffin, Brunswick; two brothers Darrell Ring, Ripley, and Rick (Tracey) Ring, Sandusky, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call from 2-8 PM Sunday at Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S Washington St., Castalia, OH. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 at Sandhill Freewill Baptist Church, 7703 Mason Rd., Sandusky, OH. Rev. Garry Sorrell will officiate. Burial will be in Sandhill Cemetery.
