Jack W. Wilson, 74, residing in Bellevue, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday afternoon, January 16, 2013, at the home of his nephew and niece, Angelo and Shirley "Peachie" Fisher.
He was born on March 29, 1940 in Sandusky, and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was employed by Heckett Steel, and was a lifetime member of the International Operating Engineers Local #150 in Illinois.
Jack loved fishing, garage sales, and sporting events.
He is survived by his children, Jackie McCoy, of Indiana, Vhonda (Derrick) Kitts, of Virginia, and Sarah Wilson, of California; grandchildren, Jessica, Noah, Beverly, Jerry, Alyssa, and Breah; great-grandchildren, Shannon, Brysen, Taylor, Kaleb, and Landon; sister, Cheryl Boyd, of Sandusky; brothers, Darryl "Chub" Wilson, Richard "Rick" Wilson, and Ronald "Dino" Wilson, all of Sandusky; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Wilson; parents, Jay and Katherine (Winters) Wilson; daughter, Lois (Mike) Wilson; son, Joe Wilson; son-in-law, Mark McCoy; sisters, Beverly Young and Shirley Sullivan; and brothers, Gary "Frog" Wilson and Jay "Skeeter" Wilson.
Friends may call on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 2 P.M. until time of funeral services at 4 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Wally Gilbert of Northpointe Ministries will officiate. Burial will take place on Monday, January 21, 2013 in Skyline Memorial Park, Monee, IL. Condolences may be shared at www.toftfh.com.
