Trena J. Cook, 76, of Monroeville, Ohio died early Monday morning, January 28, 2013, in the Willows of Bellevue.

She was born March 21, 1936 in Bellevue, Ohio, to the late Wilbur J. and Agnes Elizabeth (Fields) Pittenger and was a lifelong area resident. She was a longtime member of Zion Episcopal Church, Monroeville, Ohio. She was a member of Al-Anon, Tops, and card club. Trena had worked at Fashion Bug, Norwalk, Ohio. She enjoyed knitting, reading, crossword puzzles, bingo, and she especially enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandma.

She is survived by her children, Richard L. and Christina Cook of Fremont, Ohio, Michael D. and MeShelle Cook of Wakeman, Ohio, Ronald A. and Patti Cook or Burton, Ohio, John R. and Lalrimawii Cook of Fremont, Ohio, William S. and Kelly of Wakeman, Ohio, Tracy and Michael Amstutz of Apple Creek, Ohio, and Mindy and Jason Kamann of Monroeville, Ohio. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, and by her sister and brother in law, Holly and Merle Gates of Los Palos, New Mexico.

Trena was preceded in death by her husband, Richard B. Cook in 2004, and by her sister Sharon Fawcett.

Friends may call on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main St., Norwalk, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul Episcopal Church, 87 West Main St., Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Margaret D'Anieri will officiate. Entombment will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, Ohio.
