Nylas A. Kimberlin, age 78, of Castalia, died Thursday morning, January 31, 2013, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
She was born January 18, 1935, in Middlesboro, KY., and worked as a clerk at Kresge and Woolworths for many years. She enjoyed playing the organ and piano, reading books, and watching her orchids grow around the house. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ralph Kimberlin; daughter Margie (Michael) Schippel, Sandusky; two sons Dennis Kimberlin, Castalia, and Robert Kimberlin, Sandusky; two grandchildren Amy Schippel and Tom Schippel; two great grandchildren Tyler Schippel and Logan Schippel; sister Sharon Verrechio, Port Orange, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Nylas was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters Faye Venable, June Ellison, and Vicki Lynn O'dell; and brother Walter O'dell Jr.
Friends may call from 10:00 AM Monday, February 4, 2013, until time of services at 11:00 AM at Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
