Louis Walk, 57, of Sandusky, lost his battle with Multiple Sclerosis on Tuesday afternoon, January 29, 2013 in Erie County Care Facility, Huron.
He was born in Sandusky on August 9, 1955 to the late Horace and Betty Lou (Abernathy) Walk.
Louis was diagnosed with M.S. at an early age, resulting in his inability to walk. He enjoyed all sports, both watching and participating, and was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan. He loved to spend time with his family, especially during fish fries and barbeques. He always kept a smile on his face, even when he wasn't feeling his best.
Louis is survived by his sons, Jermaine (Jihan) Johnson, Josiah (April) Stowers, Mario Stowers, Dennarius Walk, Tamyus Johnson, and Father Time Neteru, all of Sandusky; daughters, Tonisha Stowers and Tosha Scott, both of Sandusky, Shaquilta Johnson, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Shauntae Jackson, of Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Rose Walk-Graves, of Akron, Ohio and Cathy Walk, of Clarksdale, Mississippi; brothers, Bobby Walk, Daniel Walk, Donald Walk, and Darnell Walk, all of Sandusky; 30 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Friends may call from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at Noon on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Emmanuel Temple Church, 128 E. Adams St., Sandusky. Bishop Rufus G.W. Sanders will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
