Richard A. Stower, 80, of Norwalk, Ohio died Thursday, February 7, 2013 in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio.

He was born November 10, 1932 in Milan, Ohio to the late Russell A. and Rose D. (Durnwald ) Stower and was a lifelong area resident . Dick was veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in Korea. He was a life member and past commander of Ken Bur Bell Post #41 American Legion and a life member of Firelands Post 2743 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Dick was the owner of Norwalk Monument Company for 34 years. He had also worked for the Cleveland Press and Norwalk Truck Lines. He enjoyed golf, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dick is survived by his wife of 33 years, Catherine L. ( Eickermann) Stower of Norwalk, Ohio, by his children, Debra S. and Dennis Sayre of Willard, Ohio, Ronald A. Stower of Norwalk, Ohio, Kirk D. and Kelley Wyatt of Huron, Ohio, Lori L. and Arthur Kurtz of Norwalk, Ohio, Brian J. and Kelly Wyatt of Norwalk, Ohio, and Jerilyn S. Wyatt of Norwalk, Ohio, by 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Joanne Stewart Corbin of Norwalk, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annette( Kugel) Stower in 1973, and by his brother, Russell A. Stower.

Friends may call on Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at 3:30 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main St., Norwalk, Ohio. Msg. Kenneth Morman, Associate Pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church will officiate.
