Don E. Klahn, 80, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 in Gaymont Nursing Center, Norwalk, Ohio where he has resided for the past two years due to his health.

Don was born in Big Rock, Iowa and resided in that area until he went to the University of Iowa and graduated with a degree in Commerce and a major in accounting. He spent most of his years in the Kansas City, Mo. area. He owned Klahn Accounting and two Century 21 offices plus many rental properties. Don resided in Norwalk for the past three years.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy (Ritter) Klahn of Norwalk, Ohio, and by his children, Dennis (Nancy) Klahn of Poway, California, Ronald (Jarice) Klahn of Melba, Idaho, and Steven Klahn of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Don is also survived by his step children, Andrew (Robin) Liedorff of Norwalk, Ohio, Wayne Liedorff of Norwalk, Ohio, Brian (Bridgette) Liedorff of Monroeville, Ohio, by his mother- in-law, Jean Smith of Norwalk, Ohio, by his 5 grandchildren, Bradley, Brian and Kathryn Klahn of Poway, California, Jared and Shanna Klahn of Melba, Idaho, and two step grandchildren, Connor and Collin Liedorff of Norwalk, Ohio. He also leaves many friends that he has made in his years in the Kansas City area.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Luetta Klahn and by his brother, Doren Klahn of Wheatland, Iowa. Friends may call on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Wheatland, Iowa.
