Daniel D. Fifield, age 38, of Castalia, died Monday night, February 11, 2013, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus.
He was born August 28, 1974 in Sandusky and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1992. He was a firefighter and EMT for Margaretta Fire Dept, and later became a fulltime 911 dispatch for the Fire Department. Dan loved to ride his ATV, play with his dog, and was very passionate for antique cars; owning a 1956 Ford Truck. He was an avid gun enthusiast.
He is survived by his son Tyler Daniel Fifield; parents Robert and Donna (Woolf) Fifield, Castalia; grandmother Joyce Woolf; brother Robert Fifield, Castalia; nephew Garrett Fifield; and several aunts and uncles.
Dan was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Don Woolf; paternal grandparents Jack and Pat Gerold; and uncle Tim Woolf.
Friends may call from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Philip Gardner will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
